A Lamb is a derogatory term used by Solarians to refer to non-Solarians who live on the planet. At one point, Shevat queen Zephyr uses the term 'land dwellers', so it is unknown if 'Lamb' also applies to Shevatans.
Approximately 200 years after the Shevat-Solaris War ended, in 9698, Karellen put limiters into all the Lambs to prevent any future uprising. The seals are maintained by additives placed in the food and medicine fed to the populace by the Soylent System.
The opposite of Lamb is the Abel, or Shepherds, which Solarians call themselves.
