Captain Lapis Roman is a soldier in the Galaxy Federation Fleet introduced on the Durandal in Xenosaga Episode I. She is a captain within the Galaxy Federation Military's Special Operations Command Intelligence Unit.
Biography[]
Several years ago, Representative Helmer sent her to infiltrate the military in order to keep tabs on the U-TIC Organization members within it. She became one of Helmer's most trusted subordinates.
Xenosaga Episode I[]
Due to her connections with Helmer of the Second Miltian parliament, she offered her support and cooperation to Shion Uzuki and her allies when Second Miltia and the Kukai Foundation fell under investigation. She is able to give Shion and her allies some time by infiltrating the group of soldiers sent to capture the party when Gaignun Kukai and the Kukai Foundation were set up to be arrested.
She agrees to be knocked out by Ziggy in order to stage the appearance of a breakout, which allows the party to escape to the Elsa where the KOS-MOS Encephalon Dungeon is played out.
She appears once again to accept KOS-MOS's memory bank data from Shion.
Xenosaga Episode II[]
She is briefly mentioned near the beginning of the game by Helmer. According to her report, certain factions have begun showing signs of armed rebellion.

- According to Xenosaga: Official Design Materials, Lapis is classified as an Enneagram type 6, along with Allen Ridgeley, Jin Uzuki, Mary Godwin, Pellegri, and Shelley Godwin.
