The Star Cluster Federation, which has also been translated as the Milky Way Federation, was the primary government of the known galaxy, similar to the Galaxy Federation in Xenosaga. It is only mentioned in Perfect Works.
History[]
Inaugurated in 0294 T.C., the Star Cluster Federation set Neo Jerusalem as their first Prime Star, making it the central point as humanity spread further into space.[1]
After a period of 4500 years, humanity had spread to most of the Milky Way.
Deus[]
In 4766 T.C., around the point where an unknown period of interstellar war was nearing its climax, work has been completed on an interplanetary invasion weapon named Deus. A year later, on Miktam04β, top-secret tests caused Deus to go out of control and invade the nearby colony, resulting in innumerable causalities.
After the military intervened and managed to place Deus in suspended animation at the cost of many more lives, Deus was dismantled into several parts and sealed. The Eldridge was requisitioned for the use of transporting Deus's separated cores as well as the survivors to another planet for investigation as to what caused the incident on Miktam04β.
Xenogears Intro
Deus hacks into the Eldridge before its crash.
Before the Eldridge could reach its destination, Deus managed to reactivate, eventually leading the Eldridge to crash into an unnamed planet.
The status of the Federation remains uncertain as of the start of Xenogears.
