Dr. T. Masuda is the archeologist who discovered the Original Zohar at Lake Turkana approximately 4,000 years prior to the start of Episode I. His excavation was funded by Vector Industries.

Biography

Lake Turkanah

Matsuda conducted research at Lake Turkanah, funded by Vector Industries. He apparently worked there since a long time and found something looking like a mini Zohar, even though he likely didn't know what his research would lead at.

After

The Zohar discovered by Masuda was transferred to Vector's labs in Toronto, Canada, where various examinations and experiments were performed. These experiments ultimately lead to the disappearance of Earth and Humanity taking to the stars.

Identity

Beyond his name and the excavation results, essentially nothing is known about him. Based on his name, he is assumed to be of Japanese descent. Considering the importance of his research in Wilhelm's plan, it can be assumed he was especially good in his speciality, and possibly became kind of famous on Earth due to his discovery.

Research

The full extent of his research is not explained, but he possessed a small Zohar Replica, saying "I knew it" when the ancient artifact that the replica is placed upon was uncovered. Based on this, Matsuda either found ruins and decrypted text left by the ancient followers of Mary Magdalene, Yeshua and the Messiah, or he was indirectly lead to do so this by Wilhelm. His knowledge on the events from the ancient times through his research is also unknown
