Krelian doesn't die[]
In the timeline (Xenogears) page, someone said that Krelian died at the end of Xenogears, however he just disappears as he has turned into an immaterial wave consciousness. He isn't dead and he can't die.

Good point. I also found out that the timeline is taken word for word from a fan translation of Perfect Works without any attribution, so I'm going to have to see if I can rewrite it at some point. Tanyuu (talk) 01:14, December 7, 2017 (UTC)
If something that happens in the fan translation of Perfect Works contradicts in-game facts, then the game has the priority, and at the end of the game, Krelian is seen as an immaterial wave consciousness, having accomplished his goal of reaching god (the wave existence). Being a wave consciousness, Krelian cannot die.

My bad. I didn't explain myself very well. I was mentioning something I discovered when I was taking that part out of the timeline. The timeline in Perfect Works stops right as the game begins, so the list of deaths wasn't in the book, unless they're on some other page. Tanyuu (talk) 22:50, December 7, 2017 (UTC)
Sympathy?[]
It says here that fans do not feel sympathy for Krelian, something about no karma. It's kind of ironic, considering that in his last scene he literally said that he committed so many sins that he can't live with humans anymore. Fei did try to say otherwise, but he's the hero, of course he would do that. Though Krelian's not a complete monster, that site page said the only monsters are Miang and Bishop Stone. And there's also the fact that since he's with the Wave Existence now, he can no longer cause any harm to the planet, because he's no longer there! Whitehorse24 (talk) 16:43, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'm a little surprised, but I wonder when that was written, since there's been many similar Xeno villains that have fallen into the same sort of trope. I've had to edit stuff out on this wiki that tried to justify things by saying 'many fans say', since that seems like a vague way of saying 'my opinion is' that even I've been guilty of in the past. Then again, it *is* in the YMMV tab as opposed to the Characters tab, haha. Tanyuu (talk) 01:07, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- It was written in 2015, near the end of the year. Whitehorse24 (talk) 04:07, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ahh. I honestly never remember seeing the same amount of hate that was directed at other Xenogears antagonists like Myyah, so it was interesting to me to see a different take. Tanyuu (talk) 23:40, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Update: Amalthus is apparently seen as Krelian done right. Whitehorse24 (talk) 01:24, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's in the YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) tab and on TV tropes in general, so I wouldn't say it's an assessment of general fan opinion anymore than my own opinions are, IMHO. Tanyuu (talk) 04:10, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
