The Miracle is a song from Xenosaga Episode I. It is track 2-12 on the Xenosaga Episode I Original Soundtrack, having been composed by Yasunori Mitsuda and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the choir Metro Voices. The lyrics were written by Tetsuya Takahashi and translated into Latin by Ukon Kurisawa.
The track The Resurrection is another version of this, arranged to be an acapella Gregorian chant, which was not used in the game.[1]
Lyrics[]
Latin[]
Laudate Dominum meum
corde voto Deo toto
Psallum Patrem nostrum
quamdiu fuero
Laudate Dominum meum
corde voto Deo toto
Pax in nomine Domini
Dominus tecum
Ecce vos omnes felicis
Coelestia, terrestria,
Mundum replens laetitia,
Rex omnipotens.
[doxologia nova]
Gloria Patriae et Filio, Da pacem.
Gloria Patriae et Filio, Da pacem.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc
et semper, et in saecula saeculorum
Magnificat anima mea Pacem.
English[]
O praise the Lord; my heart's
intentions are all the Lord's
I will give praise to our Father
as long as I shall be
O praise the Lord; my heart's
intentions are all the Lord's
Peace in the name of the Lord
the Lord is with thee
Behold: all your happiness
Fills heaven and earth,
With the world's joy,
Omnipotent King.
[doxologia nova]
Glory be to the Father and the Son, give peace.
Glory be to the Father and the Son, give peace.
As it was in the beginning, and now
And forever, for generations of generations
My soul glorifies peace.
